Dříve jsem skoro nečetla. Gatsby patří prakticky mezi prvních 10 knížek, které jsem kdy přečetla. Doufala jsem, že bude lepší. Jo, je to prostě klasika, ale!- v mnoha případech se mi stalo, že jsem si něco neuvědomovala, nedocházelo mi něco neviděla jsem spojitosti. Do děje jsem se dostala asi až po 3 kapitole, což možná svědčí něco o mé inteligenci, ale pořád si myslím, že je ta knížka složitější na pochopení.
Ve srovnání s filmem
Jelikož jsem si slíbila, že se na film nepodívám do té doby, dokud nepřečtu knížku, nepřipravila jsem svou představivost o její práci. Když jsem dočetla, mnoho věcí mi nedávalo smysl a nedokázala jsem si je představit. Po zhlédnutí filmu to ale všechno do sebe zapadlo. Knížka je prostě vždycky lepší než film. V tomhle případě je to proto, protože mě nutila přemýšlet nad určitými věcmi více do hloubky. Třeba ten zelený maják na druhém Vejci- Daisy, žena, která je tak blízko, ale nikdy ji nebude mít.
Takže shrnutí? Knížku 100% doporučuji, ale společně s filmem vám bude určitě dávat větší smysl. :)
